WSD (Web Service on Devices) was introduced in windows vista. It supports printing and scanning and is available in several new multifunction machines. In this article we are going to learn how to WSD scan and print in windows7.
Go to Control panel.
Open Hardware and Sound
Click "Add a device" under "Devices and Printers".
Windows will automatically search for WSD devices, select the desired device and complete the next few steps to complete the installation.
It will also create a WSD port to use for printing also. Open "Add a Device" dialogue box, click "Add a printer", select "Add a Local Printer", Choose "WSD port" under "Use an existing port" drop down menu. Complete the wizard and your printer is ready to use.
